Blood oranges are one of my favourite fruits, they transform when they ripen into a beautiful deep ruby colour inside and they are sweeter than normal oranges. Finding photo ready produce like this is easier to do at Borough Market and other fresh local markets, where you’ll find stems and leaves still attached. The rustic wholesome feel of the oranges were cut on my Grandmother’s cutting board. I combined this antique and nostalgic concept with a portrait shoot at the Eltham Palace Gardens with a retro styled dress. These photos were taken on the Contax 645 with Fuji 400H.
